i have been teaching chinese literature and composition at college level since 1980. in the past three years, i have worked in summer programs, teaching the chinese language and culture to students from english-speaking courtries. as a result, i got to know well the common problems of these students and how to adapt teaching to achieve the best results.

with years of intensive english training, i have no difficulty conducting classes in english and feel queit comfortable working with american students.

自我推銷與謙虛應(yīng)適當(dāng)有度

寫求職信就是推銷自己,就要強調(diào)你自己的成就,強調(diào)你對所選單位的價值,這就少不了自我介紹一番,但是一定要講究技巧。比如,你信中要表達“有能力開創(chuàng)企業(yè)的新局面”,讓人聽起來就很刺耳。應(yīng)用點技巧來表達,可以說:“我可以用所學(xué)的知識,建立一套新的管理計劃,以提高企業(yè)的生產(chǎn)率”,“可以為企業(yè)搞一些形象設(shè)計”等等。

對于中國人來講,謙虛是一種美德。一個謙虛的人,可以使對方產(chǎn)生好感。但對于求職者來說,過分的謙虛,同樣會使人覺得你什么也不行。謙虛不是自我否定,是實事求是、恰如其分地表現(xiàn)自己。所以,寫求職信應(yīng)遵循“適度推銷”的原則。但要視具體情況而定。由于文化上的差異,對外資企業(yè)可多一些自吹,對國內(nèi)企業(yè)應(yīng)多一些謙虛。

少用簡寫詞語,慎重使用“我”的字句

平時你與人交談時,可能習(xí)很簡稱自己的學(xué)校或所學(xué)的學(xué)科專業(yè),但在求取信上最好不要用簡稱,因為用人單位的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)不一定都了解你的學(xué)校或?qū)I(yè)、簡寫,往往容易使他們因不明白而產(chǎn)生誤解。如“科大”,究竟是指中國科技大學(xué)還是北京科技大學(xué)?專業(yè)的簡稱有時就更讓人莫名其妙。另外,多處簡寫有時還會使人覺得你做事不能脫離學(xué)生本色,或認為你態(tài)度不夠慎重,從而影響錄用。此外,在求職信中需要用“我覺得”、”我看”、“我想”、“我認為”等語氣來說明自己的觀點時,要慎重,否則會給用人單位留下你自高自大,思想不成熟的感覺。
